Dear Cleveland Cavalier Fans.....

You should be ashamed of yourselves. You say that LeBron James is acting in a way that shows cowardly betrayal, but really, you are the ones that are acting cowardly and betraying. You guys are acting like you own James and that you control him. Let me tell you one thing, the slavery days are over! Its his decision and he can do what he wants to do. I think the only way James acted wrong was to hold a one-hour special saying and explaining his decision. Other than that, you Cavalier fans are over-reacting. You are burning his jersey when you should be hanging it. The guy gave you 7 great years that include two MVP awards, 6 All-Star appearances, and he was the rookie of the year in 03-04.

And Im just talking about the Cavalier fans. I haven't even started on Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert yet. In a letter that came out shortly after James decision, Gilbert said that James acted in a way that shows he is a coward and betrayer. are you sure he is the coward? You Gilbert are the coward. You say that what he did is something that you would not want your kids to take from. Really? Cause Im pretty sure Id want my kid to learn that it's not about money in sports, it's about winning championships.

What I saw in Gilbert's letter and the tapes of Cleveland fans might be one of the most selfish acts in the history of basketball.....Oh wait, one more thing. Gilbert said in his letter, I personally guarantee that the Cavaliers will win a title before James wins one. Right..... how are those 20-1 odds working for you?

Is Durant A Sleeper In The MVP Race?

When people think of MVP this year, and for the past years, the first thing that has come to mind is, ooh the Wade, James, and Bryant showdown is something to watch this year!

Now that is always a good race to watch, but we shouldn't always focus on those candidates.  Because this year, there is someone else who is stealing the spotlight.  Name?  Kevin Durant.

Durant, along with Greg Odem were the two top prospects in the 2007 draft.  Durant going to the Supersonics, and Odem going next to him, in Portland with the Trail Blazers.  Only one of their rookie years was a success.  Can you guess?  It was Durant who lead rookies in scoring that year, while Odem sat on the bench due to an injury for the entire season.

After that year, Durant knew he still had lots of work to do, like turning the ball over less, and playing better defense.  Not only were those things fixed in the offseason, but the things he were already good at got better, like scoring and rebounds.  Durant set a team record for games in a row with twenty points.  He is reliable for 10 rebounds a game.  And believe it or not, he is shooting better than Dwayne Wade.

So Wade, James, and Bryant may be the big name candidates, but in my mind, Carmelo Anthony, and Kevin Durant have just as good, if not better a chance to win the MVP.
